چکیده
125 Abstract— P300 component of the event-related brain potential (ERP) reflects fundamental cognitive processes. The P300 components have been employed in a wide variety of theoretical, empirical, and clinical applications. In oddball paradigm for eliciting P300, we need standard stimuli and target stimuli. Firstly, designated stimuli are presented to subjects. Nextly, a chosen target stimulus is presented. In this paper, we elicited the P300 components with experiment that the subjects select a chosen target stimulus. Therefore, we measured the P300 components to be related choice of the target stimuli. The experimental results and the P300 components to be analyzed were presented.

Using P300 to Evaluate the Effect of Object Color Knowledge in Novelty Detection
A B S T R A C T Introduction: In an oddball experiment, the context in which novel stimuli are presented affects characteristics of novelty P3, i.e. as long as there is a difficult task in which the difference between standard and target stimuli is small, recurrent presentation of a highly discrepant stimulus can lead to P300 highly similar to novelty P3. Effect of stimulus properties on P300 h...
متن کاملOn the Analysis of Various Techniques for a Novel Brain Biometric System
We present various techniques to detect a target in an oddball paradigm. These techniques are presented with reference to two P300 paradigms being studied to build a biometric system using electroencephalogram (EEG) signals. The novel Inblock paradigm presented in this paper proposes a possible variant to the known oddball paradigm and analyses the effect of spatial location of the target block...
متن کاملEffect of Unilateral Pallidotomy on Auditory Long-latency Event-related Potentials in Parkinson’s Disease
Background: P300 component from event-related potentials (ERPs) is considered a general index of information processing as a reliable measure of cognitive function and is related to attention and working memory operations involved during the oddball task. Reduced P300 amplitude and increased latency have been reported previously in patients with Parkinson’s disease (PD). The purpose of the pres...
متن کاملComparisons of P300s from standard oddball and omitted paradigms: implications to exogenous/endogenous contributions.
PURPOSE To compare the amplitude, latency, morphology, and threshold of the auditory P300 using standard oddball and omitted paradigms. RESEARCH DESIGN P300 waveforms were measured from the Cz electrode site. Frequent stimuli for both paradigms were 1000 Hz tone bursts. Target stimuli for the standard oddball paradigm were 2000 Hz tone bursts and an omitted stimulus, or silent gap, for the om...
متن کاملEVect of interstimulus interval on visual P300 in Parkinson’s disease
Objective—Visual event related potentials (ERPs) were studied during an oddball paradigm, to testify whether cognitive slowing in Parkinson’s disease exists and to investigate whether cognitive information processing can be influenced by diVerent interstimulus intervals (ISIs) of an oddball task in patients with Parkinson’s disease and normal subjects. Methods—ERPs and reaction time were measur...
